The Positive and Negative Effects of Volcanic Eruptions
A volcano is a position in the earth's crust had been magma via deep inside the entire world forces their way to the surface. As soon as the volcano occures the caos is called lava. Volcanic breakouts have great and unwanted effects. For example the lava flow may cause complete chaocs and dismantle villages, nevertheless once the lava decompses it create extermely fertile dirt. Volcanic breakouts throughout history have been seen to cause mass destruction by lahars. [Refer to figure 1] A lahar is a mudflow made when ash or mud integrates with possibly snow or rain about it's descent down a volcano. A destructive lahar was noticed on 06 15th, 1991 when Mt. Pinatubo engulfed and a building was buried by lahar. In the months that followed above 200 lahars occurred and destroyed street, towns, plants and bridges. Also, the volcanic ash can effect global conditions and impair the sky. On June 15th, 1991 when Mt. Pinatubo erupted, it dispatched large amounts of ash in the sky. This ash cloud circled the entire world and lowered global temperatures by about 1 degrees over the next year. [Refer to find 2] This hefty ash protected buildings and caused the roofs of houses, schools and other buildings to collapse. The ash clouds created by volcanoes could also interfere with flying. The lung burning ash can block up jet generators and inevitably cause engine failure or maybe a plane crash. [Refer to figure 3] This is seen upon 15 January 1989 the moment all four motors on KLM Flight 867 failed upon descent in to Anchorage Airport terminal, Alaska. The engines are thought to have shut down because the ash turned to a glass finish, which tricked the temp sensors and resulted in an auto-shutdown. This incident put 245 people in danger, which survived. In the same way, the ash released by volcanic eruptions can be bad for health. Inhaling volcanic ash has extremely negative effects on human well being because poisonous gasses just like...
